Alright, guys, I know I have been a sucky moderator thus far, so I apologize... but I must say I am sort of sad at the turnout of this thing. I sent notes to all the members from the old club to see if anyone wanted to rejoin and we got the world's smallest response. And there has been no partcipation so far art-wise from anyone but myself, so I am rather skeptical about trying to start any contests or anything. Even with the bigger crowd we used to have at the old club, no one participated in our contests...
But if any of you have any suggestions as to what to do, something we should add, something for us to participate in, anything, PLEASE send a note to the club, or comment on this journal or whatever.. I don't want to have to close this thing down so soon, but it's looking like it may be coming to that.

This is a club for all DA Monkeeholics. This club is being put back together, so it's currently under construction. Hopefully, when things are ready, this will be a groovy hangout for you Mike, Micky, Peter, and Davy fans and perhaps even fanartists. We plan to have contests and other fun things so if you're a Monkees fan, join and invite your friends.

Art For Monkees' Sake: Submitting your art.
For all you fanartists out there-
1.) Send a note to the club entitled Submission
2.) In your note paste the link to the original image/writing. We'll save the piece to our gallery and post the original description unless you tell us otherwise.
3.) ATTENTION: DO NOT SUBMIT ANYTHING THAT DOES NOT ABIDE BY DA’S RULES! This includes icons, wallpapers and any other images that do not (or are made from images that do not) belong to you! DA is very strict about this rule! I will not post anything that does not abide by the rules and if any of the other mods do, I will delete it. YOU MUST DRAW, WRITE, or TAKE A PHOTO OF WHATEVER IT IS YOU ARE POSTING

When a contest is going on, please submit your entries as follows:

Extra Contest Info: Any other contest information will be found on the journal of that contest (dates, rules, what the contest is). If you win, your entry will be our featured deviation until the next contest winner is picked. If we don't have a contest planned for the following month, winners will have the privilege to decide the next contest topic.

I feel guilty about this until today... You left things on my hands and I just didn't take proper care of them *shame*
Problem is, while dealing with my own gallery, you sure remember that I used to make a lot of avvies and wallpapers with the Monkees, and no one never deleted any of the pics, until that fateful day they decided to remove a lot of my stuff and stuff from the club as well...
It was a real drag for me, you have no idea... That was one of the reasons why I left dA for such a long time.
Hope you can still thrust in me.

I went through a similiar thing with my Black Sabbath fan club too (though they didn't ban it completely like they did with yours!)
Admins here shut my club down for 24 hours because I had a picture of Ozzy Osbourne that was copyright protected for the club's ID.
I also had a great photo in the club's gallery that one of my club's members manipulated adding herself to an old photo of Black Sabbath!
That too was copyright protected!
They removed that picture from the club's gallery, and went into my member's gallery and deleted it from there too!!!!
To promote my club I sent the same message to a whole bunch of people asking them if they would like to join (Deviant Art considered that to be "Spam"!!!)
I wish you good luck in your club and I would be honored if you would add me to your member's list!!!
